Love W-holeheartedly

We take broken-ness as a disability and feel incapacitated to give pieces of ourselves in fear of breaking apart.

Some of us have the notion that another person can complete our being, can fill the emptiness, can bring light to the gaping void. This is never a reality though. Nor should it be an expectation.

But the word “hole” will always be attached to “whole”, perhaps metaphorically conveying our ability to be complete despite our misgivings and inadequacies.

Just love. Forgive yourself. Forgive those who took away everything you thought you had. Forgive your inescapable past. Fill all the holes with new blood: new memories, new experiences and lovers, new exhiliration, risks and mistakes.

And when the time comes, love wholeheartedly.
